Math 3 and Math Support 3

Tomorrow is the graduation test in Math. So use your time wisely and do a lot of practice problems by doing the practice tests in study island and USA test prep. If you  need help with log in information you can get it from the school website.

Test in Exponential and Logarithmic functions

Today we went over on finding the inverse of logarithmic functions. We did go over a lot of practice problems on it. Next class we will discuss on the graphs of logarithmic functions and then do a review for the test. Test is Friday, March 25th. Homework is to do Questions 1 to 18 and 25 to 31 (all) from page 164-165 in the WORKBOOK.

Today we used Laptops to review for the graduation test. We worked on the geometry and statistics part of the test using study island website. Since the Math test is on Tuesday, I want all of you to practice for the test during the weekend using USA Test prep and study island. All the best for the Graduation test.

ACM 2 HW for 3/17-3/18

Today we started logarithmic functions. We have learned how to write the exponential equations in log form and log equations in exponential form. We also learned to graph the log functions and find the inverse of it. Homework is to do questions 1 to 26 all from page 147 in the text book.

Today we did a few practice tests using the study island website. Most of did well on it, but since the countdown has begun for the graduation test, I want all of to continue working on those tests even at home. You can also use USA Test prep website to practice for GHSGT.

ACM 2 Pi Day activity

Today we celebrated Pi day by doing the learning centers activity on Pi. Each one of you have proved how talented you are. Keep up the good work and work hard for the rest of the semester. No homework tonight, so enjoy Pi + 1 day.

Math 3 HW

Happy Pi day to every one. Today we did some activities to celebrate Pi day and then had a quiz on geometry section of the GHSGT. Then we discussed some of the important concepts in geometry for the GHSGT. Homework is to do the data analysis section of the GHSGT practice test. Next class we will discuss about this and then take a quiz in data analysis.If you did not get a data analysis practice test, then you can download it from here by opening the file under pages for GHSGT review. The key along with the explanation is attached to the practice test.

Math 3 Support HW

Today we went over the Algebra packet for the GHSGT test review and then had a quiz in it. Since we have just one week before you all take the GHSGT, review using study island. Homework is to do the study guide for the geometry section of the test. Next class we will have a quiz on it and then we will go over the study guide. All the practice tests for the GHSGT along with the key and explanations can be downloaded from the pages under the GHSGT review.

ACM 2 HW for 3/11-3/14

Today we went over the natural base exponential functions. We did some application problems from the Math 3 Georgia test prep book and then went over some practice problems from the text book. We then had a pop quiz on exponential functions. If you were absent today, then you can come and take that quiz on Tuesday at 7.30 am in my room. Homework for the weekend is to do questions 1 to 12 and 17 to 20 all from page 143 in the text book.

ACM 2 HW for 3/9-3/10

We learned about number e in today's class. We have read an article about it and then seen how the value of number is calculated. Later we did learn some of the characteristics of Natural base exponential functions and have used it to calculate the amount  compounded continuosly. Homework is to do the odd problems from 1 to 25 in page 142 from the textbook.
