Today we learned about the use of determinants in solving equations. We learned how to use Cramers Rule to solve 2 by 2 and 3 by 3 systems of equations. Homework is to finish working on 3 by 3 systems worksheet.

Today we went over the multiplication of matrices and then started the notes on Determinants. We learned to calculate the determinants of 2 by 2 and 3 by 3 matrices. Today we had a short quiz on basic operations with matrices. Then we practiced more problems on matrix multiplication from the math 3 text book. Homework is to finish the given problems in the class from the text book on the basic operations with matrices.

Today we learned how to do the matrix operations. We also went over all the vocabulary with the Matrices and took some notes on it. Homework is to practice matrix multiplication by doing the first 10 questions on the given worksheet.

We contiued working on the project on use of Math in sports. I think every one is enjoying the project. Make sure you all do two power point presentations and make the project ready for the presentations on wednesday and thursday of this week.

I am pleased with the way every one has done the first project on buying a new car. Last class we started the next project on the sports. This project helps you all to see the relationship between Math and sports and makes use of all the knowledge of statistics in drawing the generalizations. If you did not get a copy of it then get it from me asap. This project is due next Friday. Since it has two webquests ,this project will count has two test grades.

I hope every one did well on the GHSGT Math. Before we move on with the Preview for Math 3 after the spring break, we will work on the project for the next five classes. The project is called Buying your first car. As we discussed in class this project is worth two test grades. One grade is for the work shown and the other grade is for the presentation of the project to the class. You can use power point to present the work to the class. You all can work in pairs for this project that is due on next friday, April 1st.
