Both groups began with a warm-up and then proceeded to short instruction on the passe simple forms of vouloir, pouvoir, and savoir. These are: voulus, voulus, voulut, voulumes (with a circonflexe) voulutes (with a circonflexe) and voulurent; pus, put, put, pumes (with a circonflexe) putes (with a circonflexe), purent; and sus, sus, sut, sumes (with a circonflexe), sutes (with a circonflex), surent. AP then took a vocabulary quiz, looked at new vocabulary, went over rubrics for a project, did reading #4 in the AP workbook, and worked on her project. The Honors French 4 group also worked on vocabulary, went over rubrics for their island projects, and worked in their textbook, pages 116-118, and 119, ex. 1 and 2. Both groups finished with a summarizer--having to change sentences from passe compose to passe simple.
