Classes will be emphasizing The Vandertramp verbs--those verbs (intransitive) which are conjugated with être in the composed past tenses. The past tense of reflexive verbs will also be a topic of instruction. They also will be learning new vocabulary having to do with the favorite leisure time activities of the French. They will be writing in their composition books for the first time this school year. The first topic is What I did over the summer: Ce que j'ai fait pendant les vacances d'été, using the past tense. Blue Day Class will have a quiz on which verbs take avoir and which take être in the past tense on Friday, and White Day will have the same quiz on Tuesday, 9/6.
