Hey AP Langers,

Here are all of the handouts to help you complete your discussion circle roles. You will find my examples below of each role and the HOT questions handout.

Blue Day students: Your homework is due Tuesday, August 23rd. Please bring your book and homework to class. Remember your homework must by typed in MLA format.

White Day students, do not freak out: You will start this assignment Monday, so your homework will not be due until Wednesday, August 24th .

• Introduction to Critical Thinking/Annotating. Analysis of "My Name" chapter: Download My Name.  After each paragraph write 3-5 comments pertaining to diction, syntax, rhetorical devices, tone, symbolism, theme, character development, etc.
