Amnesty Day was held on May 12, 2011- 3:30-5:30- NO OTHER sessions will be held during this school term.

Credit Repair/Credit Recovery/Summer School

ALL Journals will be collected/graded for final assessment.

Teacher Assessments will be given to all students. How did we do this semester? What did you enjoy the most/least? How can we make this class better for upcoming students? (be specific)

The Trojan War-students will learn background history/causes, etc.

The Odyssey- students are introduced to our final hero in Mythology- (Odysseus)

Who's Who in the Odyssey/Odysseus' Journey Home/Themes in The Odyssey

*Film Analysis: While using graphic organizers students will compare the film version to the textbook version of the myth.

ESSAYS: Compare/Contrast (Odyssey) (film vs. text)

*Letters: All students are required to write letters to upcoming freshmen offering advice/suggestions on how to be successful during your freshman year of high school. Due: Friday, May 20, 2011

*Final Exam: Study guides will be issued to students/oral review daily.
