Math 2: We will continue working on our circles unit by solving for the lengths of vairous segments formed by intersecting chords, secant segments with a common point outside the circle, and secant, tangent segment with a common externnal end point. We will use inscribed and central angle properties to solve for arc and angle measures. The will be a quiz on Wednesday and Thursday covering tangent properties, segment lengths and properties of arcs and chords.
Examples and Practice problems can be found in your Math Textbooks
pp191-197: central angles and arc measures
pp205-210 : inscribed angles
PP 218-221:Segment Lengths in circles
Math 2 Support: We will have problem solving sessions covering circles, and reviewing concepts from units 1 and 2 in preparation for the mid-terms.
