Tonight work on your EOCT review packet.  Finish what you can before class tomorrow.  We will review for the EOCT the next two days.

...Today we finished the formulas for the conic faces project.  Tomorrow we practice graphing and I introduce you to the conic faces project.

Due to popular request, I extended the deadline to turn in your unit eval until tomorrow.  If you don't have it then it will be zero.

Trig

Today we reviewed arithmetic sequences and series.  If you were testing today, see me to get today's notes and assignment.  There are a lot of formulas, but with a little practice, these are a piece of cake.  Plus, this is a popular SAT topic--you can use common sense to figure many of these problems out without knowing a single formula.

So much time and so little to do.... Strike that;  reverse it!  We are fast running out of school year and we still have things we need to accomplish.  The EOCT will be may 10th and 11th--a week from today!  ARRGH! 

To accomplish everything we need to do--your assessment on logs on exponents you received today as a take-home test due TOMORROW at the beginning of class.  We began our exploration of conic sections so that you can start your conic faces project which will be due 5/17.  Our final is the last day of school May 21st.  I will miss this class.  Y'all have been lots of fun.

We're in the countdown to the EOCT and the final exam.  The EOCT is May 11th and 13th.  Please be present.  There are no makeups until next school year. 

We took a brief look at arithmetic sequences and series.  On Wednesday and Friday we will review for the EOCT (and the final).

On Wednesday you will receive a take-home test for unit 5 due Friday--no lates accepted!!!!

The final in our class will be Wednesday the 19th so we will have one day of class between the EOCT and the final exam.

Also--some of you should be looking  for letters in the next couple of days about credit repair.  If you end the school year with an average between 65 and 69 you can take the credit repair mini-course (May 25 - 28).  If you pass the mini-course's post test you can raise your grade to a 70.  Note, if your average is below 65 after the final exam, you will NOT be eligible for credit repair!
