The quiz on Thursday and Friday will be very short. All the classes seem to be in different places for various reasons.

By now you should be able to write the nth term of an arithmetic and a geometric sequence and find the given term such as a15 or a50.

The homework sheet is good practice for these skills. Make sure you complete those problems--you need the practice!

I am working on grading your tests. One of the things I am noticing is that many of you are having great difficulty with subtraction.

(4x+2) - (6x - 8) MEANS 4x + 2 - 6x -(-8) or 4x + 2 - 6x + 8

Combine your like terms to get -2x + 10.

Remember subtract means add the opposite!
