1st Block Informal  Algebra II

Reviewed Chapter 3 Test. Students investigated and solved addition, subtraction, multiplication and missing variables of matrices. Students explored entering 3x3 matrix on the TI-84 for a solution with addition, subtraction, multiplication and solving for the missing variables .

3rd Block Geometry

 Students divided into cooperative learning groups to work on transformation project for (15 ), students started presentation on translation, rotation, and reflections.

4th Block Accelerated Math I

Divided polynomials by monomials,binomials, and trinomials. Solved rational expressions using addition, subtraction using the LCD, multiplication and division, cross product, and radical expressions. Quiz Unit III.

Reviewed and solved system of equations for exactly one solution, no solution and many solutions by using graphing. Reviewed and solving a system of equation using substitution and combination. Graphed system of inequalities. Homework  Graphic organizer on graphing, substitution, and elimination of a system of equation. Reviewed for Test on Tuesday.

3rd Block Geometry

 Students identified and solved two tangent lines intersecting a circle with a common endpoint, two secant lines with a common endpoint, and a  secant and tangent line with a common endpoint  to find the missing angles and measurements. Students investigated solving circle measurements with two chords and a tangent and secant line on the same circle. Students identify the radius and center of a circle. Students also explored writing the equation of a circle.

4th Block Accelerated Math I

Students investigated and solved factoring polynomials using addition, subtraction, multiplication, special products, grouping and zero products. Characteristics of functions in the form of transformations, vertical and horizontal translations, axis of symmetry and the vertex of a parabola. Reviewed for benchmarks on Monday.
