Good reviewing today...be ready for action tomorrow. We will take our reviewing to another level and play the review games that I started over 12 years ago. Don't forget to bring your sweats! Also, Seniors in 3-4th periods: tomorrow is your day! Study and ACE this final! Hopefully, you used your time wisely today.

If you get all of your reviewing finished, come to the PA open house tonight to meet and greet all the new freshmen and to see a great show that will highlight all of the shows with a few excerpts. Afterward, there is a reception and a tour of the Betty Gray building..

Congrats all of you for making through the concert and the juries! The next challenge, for some of you the most difficult, is the written exam. We start heavy reviewing on Wed. and will continue through until your exams. You will receive you jury results the day of your exam, since it is considered part of your final. I will make a copy for you to keep and hopefully, will be able to use the useful information that they provided. They gave a lot of really good feedback ~ please read carefully the information that they gave you. I know a lot of it was and is the same corrections that Ms. Mora and I have already given you.

Have a good evening and don't forget PA Open House tomorrow night with a performance from all dance, drama, vocal and all the shows this year. Following will be a reception and meet and greet...

I am back and I hope you are! Great shows over the weekend but now we need to push through to the end of school with the finals and juries. Overall, the juries did not seem too bad...now focus on the written final! Please start reviewing all of your vocabulary, Children of Theatre Street for 1-2 periods, Analyzing Arabesque 3-4 periods, and any other information that Ms. Mora has already given you.

Don't forget all of the activities this week with the Honors Awards on Tuesday, Wednesday PA Open House, PA Awrds on Thursday and the Vocal Concert on Friday night...See You There!

As you can see, I am just now able to get to the blog. Friday I did not have a blog because of a "virus" on the computer ...I lost a lot of very important information like all of our program notes!

Anyway, this is our show week. I have finished with some of the Senior pieces in the theatre and am now back in the office. Please come prepared this week to the theatre...ready to work! From the pieces that I saw today, all of you need to be rehearsing! Some pieces will be pulled if it does not getter! The choreographers are aware of this!

You will not hear from me each day as I am late in the theatre until after hours. Then the program, etc. needs to be worked on ..so until then...

Again, pay attention to details! The jury combinations are coming along but if you continue to practice the same mistakes, I guarantee you will get them during the jury because you will not be thinking about your mistakes.

Just a reminder, pay attention to details! As you start to learn your jury combination, details will make a difference in your grade! It is not just a matter of getting through the combinations. The same as if you were to take a written test. Just answering questions with random answers will not give you good results. Take care at how you are learning movements. Besides your brain that you are training, your muscles are learning correctly as well.

Of the top 25 Sensational Seniors, 11 of those Seniors are taking dance and many of them took dance before they were Seniors. Yes, dancers are smart. Most of them took the knowledge, tried, and applied their knowledge to make progress.

As we continue learning and praticing the jury combinations, pay attention to detail. Every movement counts! The Judges will be grading you on several areas that you need to become aware of and knowing the combination is only part of the picture.

Knowledge, execution,timing, placement, energy, musicality, and appearance are the areas that you will be graded on in the jury. We will go over each area so that you understand completely what you are being graded on on May 16 and/or May 17.

The crunch is here...testing, juries..etc. Stay focused and we are going to get there...write things down and be where you are supposed to be when you are to be there. I know vocal juries, drama juries, and ComPAny auditions are all going on.

Focus, focus, focus. Please remember your jury combinations so we can add on a little bit each day. We will try to add on each day. Also, practice your concert dances.

Check with your choreographers about your costumes, rehearsals, etc.
