Full dress is for Sat. night's cast for some of you that are dancing in different pieces for different nights.

What time is rehearsal  Monday when we return from Thanksgiving break? Until 7:00! Monday, make sure your ride is ready to pick you up promptly at 7:00.

What costume pieces do you still need to take care of before we return from Thanksgiving?

Ladies: what is a hairnet?

Do all of you have elastic on your ballet shoes?

What type of leotard does your class need?

What color tights do you need?

DO YOU KNOW YOUR DANCE?????

We have one more day to figure these things out.

We are getting so close to finishing all the dances... I hope you can see the end of your dances as well. The final poses need to happen on stage because of spacing. I am not sure of where you can actually finish until we get on stage. We ran into a few snags today and were not able to finish first and second period like I had hoped...maybe tomorrow.

Stay dry tonight and rehearse...

All bios, program spellings, and tee shirt money have to be completed by THIS Friday.

Do you know everything you need to have for your costumes so you can take care of this over next week's break?

We have now finished almost all of the ballet pieces. If your class has not finished, all you have left is the final pose. As Ms. Mora and I are able to get into the theatre, we will be rehearsing and staging your dances in the theatre. I was able to be in the theatre for third through fifth period today and it was great. Third period discovered that they have to really dance full out on that stage. It is better that you find out now than the week of the show!

Here we go....this is the last week before Thanksgiving break! All of your costume and choreography questions should be answered this week! Please check with me if you still have questions.

A few more counts in some of your dances need to be finished tomorrow so we can start cleaning and drilling ...then costumes, spacing, lights, etc.!

Don't forget to make sure you have discussed with your parents the rehearsal schedule for the week of the concert: write it in your journal if you don't have a good memeory.

Just a few reminders: Check the last few days for the concert dates, times, rehearsal schedule, etc.

"Steel Magnolias" this weekend in the Black Box..I saw it last night and it is very good!

Ladies in first period you will need your long sleeved leotards for the dance concert...start now on finding one!

All guys will need BLACK ballet shoes. You can borrow or buy: yes you will be able to wear them in your ballet class if you buy them!

Good work again today! Congrats third period for completing your ballet piece today. This is great because we now have time to do all the work that makes the dance look exceptional!

First and second periods: you are very close to finishing your dances but you need to review them before I have you again next week so we can finish them. We will then have time to go back and do detail work and start cleaning your dances so they look exceptional as well!

Reminders:

    Seniors that are planning on attending the Unified Auditions in Chicago must let Mr. Timmerman know by Friday, 11/11/11.

    Dance concert rehearsals begin Nov. 28- Dec. 1. Prepare to stay until 7:00 each evening.

    Dinner will be served on Friday, Dec. 2 before your concert at 7:30. Your concert is also on Sat., Dec. 3 at 7:30. You will be called early on Sat. before your concert for class and possibly stage rehearsal depending on how the performance went on Friday night.

Great work today! I think you are realizing that crunch time is here! Thanks for working hard today...we should be able to finish your dances tomorrow for those of you that I had today.

Keep in mind the schedule when we return from Thanksgiving break:

    Nov. 28, 29, 30 and Dec. 1 until 7:00 each evening for rehearsal for your concert.

    Your dance concert is Dec. 2 and 3 at 7:30..tickets are $5.00 for everyone entering the theatre.

    Food will be served for you on Friday, Dec. 2 between rehearsal and the show.
