9th Lit: Week of 8-22-11

Congratulations on completing your first week of school! Let's get down to business.

This week we will:

-Begin SSR(Sustained Silent Reading)

-Continue with journal writing

-Begin quick writes

-Take a short story pre-test

-Begin the short story unit

-Participate in philosophical chairs

-Acquire literary terms (short stories)

-Read "Kyle" (addresses real-world issues teens are facing)

-Begin reading The Necklace
