I was not in class today as I was on a field trip.

1st and 2nd period completed the T/F for Module 12 and graphic organizer.

3rd period completed the self-tests for Modules 11 and 12.

All students watched the movie Into Thin Air and looked for the theories of motivation and emotion.

Today we discussed Module 12- Emotion.

Graphic organizer on the 3 theories of emotion and then did a Kagan Window Paning activity where we drew pictures going along with a story in order to identify the theory of emotion.

Watched part of the video on emotion and took notes for bonus points.

PLEASE BRING YOUR BOOKS ON THURSDAY AS I WILL BE ON A FIELD TRIP.

Today the focus was ensuring that students understood the standards associated with Unit 1.  They were allowed to take a different version of of the Unit 1 Part A test.  If the score is higher then it will replace the original score.  They also were then given an opportunity to get back into their groups to take the Unit 1 Part B test and make corrections to the original wrong answers.

Wednesday we will start Unit 2 and the Legislative and Executive Branch.

Students had time in the beginning of the class to work on the Chapter 12 study guides and vocabulary which were due today.

Began topic of motivation with the T/F and after introduction did a self-assessment using Maslow's Hierarchy.

1st period got a matching exercise as a ticket in for next week and so did 3rd.  2nd period will use it as an activator.

Juniors were absent due to the GHSGT.

Students present watched the rest of Animal Farm. 

We also watched Part 2 of Standard Deviants Government on the Legislative and Executive Branch.  Anyone that took notes will get a grade for it.

We finished watching Rainman.  Optional writing assignment for 1st period attached.  3rd didn't finish.

EVERYONE GOT THEIR CHAPTER 12 STUDY GUIDE TODAY.  IT IS DUE ON MONDAY, MARCH 28.

Juniors were gone during 1st and 2nd for the GHSGT. 

During 1st and 2nd we started class with a game using advertising slogans.  Nobody got all of them correct but the 1st person to do so on Friday will get a prize.

We finished watching Castaway in 3rd only.  1st and 2nd isn't quite done yet.
